Another ordinary Sunday
by John on Jan.18, 2009, under Blog Posts
Today was pretty much ordinary sunday at the tattoo studio. I did 2 piercings, one Monroe and a regular Lip, one of them being a repeat client of mine thank god for that they tip really well. Although 2 piercings for a day is alright letting myself go home with atleast $57 including my tips.
The rest of the day was just so boring, not interesting tattoos came in Scott did one tattoo.
Malicia read a book by Guy A. (can’t think of how to spell his lastname) about how he prepares for tattoos by making sculptures, photography, and paintings before he even executes a tattoo on anyone to grab that true light effect. Which I think is pretty fucking cool but at the same time I’m like, “god fucking damn!” That’s a pretty long extensive process before even beginning to tattoo the client and to think of how many people want to get tattoo by him would be a ridiculous amount of sculptures, photos, and paintings to stack up. I know he does it for the art and the art looks fucking amazing when it’s all said and done, just makes me think I need a drive to push myself to do some ridiculously amazing art.
Maybe it’s time to revist some long nights in my parents kitchen floor and pull a all-nighter painting my ass off, I’ve been wanting to bust out some sweet ass “Darth Vader” painting. Time to stop procastinating!
Anyways while I’m at barnes and noble with Malicia I should be reading, although I’ve never had a desire to read. Reading some of the art books she has laying in her hands might help spurt some sort of crazy inspiration I need!
